Mick Bohan staying at Dublin is crucial, says club’s ladies football selector Paul Casey

Dublin selector Paul Casey says it manager Mick Bohan remains on as the TG4 Senior winners push for a fourth consecutive crown.
Goals from Hannah O’Neill and Sinead Goldrick aided mill out a narrow 2-3 to 0-4 victory over Galway.
Despite the horrible conditions for football, there was a record 56,114 in attendance in Croke Park.
Bohan, who formerly worked with Casey at Lucan Sarsfields, masterminded an historic three-in-a-row – and Casey understands his influence is enormous.
“It’s angry once you become involved with a team such as this it’s an eye-opener,” said Casey, who’ve completed two decades with the Dubs.
“When you’re a participant everything is done for you and you take it for granted. However, you see within the management group labour Mick does.
“He’s everything set up for the staff and management staff. He is so important to this group. He leaves no stone unturned in relation to his preparation.
“Mick signed up for another two years this past year. Because we’ve worked hard he will enjoy the upcoming few days. It is time to let the hair down, the pressure is off now. It’s time.
“You would hope we will adhere together. If Mick stays around I can not find any people going anywhere.
“Please God, we all knuckle down and so are ready for next season ”
Dublin visited with the children’s hospitals on Monday in Temple and Crumlin Street.
It was a enormous weekend with all the Dublin footballers getting the first team in history to win five Sam Maguire successes in-a-row.
Casey won an All-Ireland with Dublin in 2011 until he stepped away from the board but was not in Croke Park to witness the 1-18 to 0-15 success over Kerry.
“The lads have been great,” said Casey.
“There is a whole great deal of connections between the two groups. They increased the standards in Ireland, not football that was philosophical concerning sport. They’re an exceptional bunch.
“We all learn a great deal from them and we try to establish our own criteria as well. However, it is a great weekend. To get to a five and three-in-a-row at the same time.
“After we beat Cork we were constantly focused on the last. You have to put yourself and your team. Dublin and Kerry was just another match on television.
“We needed to stay focused. Now we can look back and say it’s been a wonderful weekend to Dublin soccer.
“In Addition to the girls, you are waiting for 4 o’clock on Sunday evening. It was a very long time because we met up on Friday. It’s a wonderful distraction to have. Then we can look back and say it’s great for both groups.
“We will take pleasure in the next few days anyway to observe.”
